On December 10 and 11, 1123, the bishop of Roda-Barbastro, Ramon Guillem, consecrated the churches of Sant Climent and Santa Maria de Taüll, two jewels of the Romanesque for their architecture and for their wall paintings, mostly preserved in the Museum National Art of Catalonia (MNAC), registered in the UNESCO World Heritage along with the rest of the Romanesque churches of the Vakde Boí. Responding to the request of the town hall of the Vall de Boí and the World Heritage Consortium of the Vall de Boí, the Ministry of Culture will start on December 9 the events of the Taüll Year, the commemoration of the 900 years of the consecration of the temples, which coincides with the centenary of the transfer and installation of the paintings in the MNAC.

The restoration of the Sant Climent de Taüll bell tower and its exterior paint that will reveal what it looked like 900 years ago, with a white tone and geometric decorations in red and the installation of a video mapping on the exterior of the bell tower that will cover two faces and the apses , accompanied by a soundtrack, is the star performance. Sònia Hernández, has agreed with Sònia Bruguera that the Year of Taüll should serve for the visitor to rediscover the churches and their paintings. For the mayoress, it is important that the performances continue to allow us to look at the temples "with a new perspective".

In the field of research, actions linked to artificial intelligence and the creation of the Taüll Archive are planned, an online repository that will collect all the graphic and written documentation of the interventions carried out since the 19th century.

Over the course of the next year, initiatives will be added. As the closing of the Domènech i Montaner Year and the beginning of the Taüll Year, the Vall de Boí will host the traveling exhibition "Domènech i Montaner, World Heritage".
