A tourist tries typical Barcelona food at the Boqueria market and is showered with criticism: neither Catalan nor Spanish

If we travel to a country, whatever the destination, we cannot leave the place without trying its gastronomy, although to fulfill this purpose we have to go to some tourist centers par excellence. That's what influencer Tommy Winkler did, known on TikTok for his account The Food Guy, in which he dedicates himself to tasting food of all kinds.

Winkler was traveling in Barcelona and went to the Boqueria Market to try some typical dishes of Catalan and Spanish cuisine, or so he intended.

However, this TikToker did not try any representative dish and opted for extravagant products, which have nothing to do with our gastronomy.

To start the day, he had a strawberry skewer covered in milk chocolate and white chocolate. Afterwards, she cheered herself up with pitahaya smoothie, a common fruit in Latin American countries. It continues with a chicken bomb, which has nothing to do with what is eaten in Catalonia, with a hamburger taco, a cone of Serrano ham, toast with lobster tartar and a Greek syrup dessert called Touloumpakia.

For sweets, opt for two sugar-laden items: a huge candy-style strawberry cloud and another huge banana cloud. Of course, nothing typical of Barcelona or Catalonia.

Users of this social network react indignantly to Winkler's election. "I'm freaking out that he's in Spain," says one. "You lacked croquettes and potato omelettes," another reproaches him. "She called the flamenquín a donkey. I die," laments another.
