Why did Victoria Federica wear only one glove at the Latin Grammys?

The red carpet of the 2023 Latin Grammys was expected to be folkloric. The art that is breathed in the streets of Seville, its music and its people have been just the prelude to what could be expected in this new edition of the most important music awards in Spanish.

Victoria Federica Marichalar y Borbón was one of the first to appear before the thousands of flashes that went off every second. She did so as a host and displaying a style that seemed like a subtle tribute to one of the most iconic women in the history of cinema.

The socialite chose an elegant custom-made pearl-colored dress, with an extremely thin strap and inlaid with flower-shaped sequins, from the Ecuador-based brand, Hera Studio.

The suit contrasted with a very striking electric blue glove, as well as the fact that only one was worn. A detail that is reminiscent of one of the most famous scenes of actress Rita Hayworth in her role as Gilda.

In the film Rita Hayworth performed a sensual dance dressed in a tight black dress that left her shoulders exposed and made the audience fantasize like never before. It was said that her crowning moment was when she took off her glove, in a riot of sensuality.

Like the character Gilda, Victoria Federica left her hair loose, perfectly polished with the part on the side, and finished it off with some spectacular jewelry from Rabat.
