Now, the interpreter of The Lord of the Rings has gone viral for something completely unrelated to the world of acting. And the actor has participated in the new campaign of the Rafael Dieste institute, in A Coruña, called 'Aqui tamén se fala' (Here we also speak) and with which they try to promote the use and dissemination of Galician.

The Galician institute wanted to have the participation of different famous faces with the aim of having them appear in a short video using Galician. One of the personalities who has attracted the most attention on social networks has been Viggo Mortensen. And the North American actor, of Argentine origin, has conquered all Internet users with his spectacular speech in favor of the Galician language.

''Hola, I'm Viggo Mortensen and I think that the languages ​​are the treasure of the villages. That's why today, in Galicia, where I am, I also speak Galician'', declared the interpreter. In the video, we can see Mortense wearing a shirt from the foot of the San Lorenzo de Almagro club in Buenos Aires, located in A Coruña.

In this way, the Green Book interpreter has once again demonstrated that languages ​​are his thing, adding Galician to the long list of languages ​​he is capable of speaking, such as English, Spanish, Danish, French, Italian, Swedish or Norwegian. .

And although the campaign was initially launched by the IES Rafael Dieste, the tremendous success achieved in recent days has caused it to be extended to another 150 educational centers in the region.
