Valérie Messika receives the title of Knight of the French Legion of Honor

The founder and artistic director of Messika, Valérie Messika, received special recognition this Thursday in her homeland. The master jeweler was honored with the title of Knight of the French Legion of Honor in an exclusive act in Paris that seeks to highlight her commitment, creativity and entrepreneurial strength.

"This distinction honors me doubly", she explained during her gratitude speech: "I am immensely grateful to France, where I grew up and which is a great inspiration in my daily work. A great and wonderful emotion that is amplified by the presence of Alain Dominique Perrin, undisputed visionary of the world of luxury, I am very honored to receive the badge from him in person," he adds.

The title of Knight of the French Legion of Honor is a symbol of recognition of the nation with which prominent personalities from different disciplines have been awarded, including Joaquín Sorolla, Isaac Albéniz, Pedro Almodóvar and Cristóbal Balenciaga.

In the case of the Messika house, the title seeks to recognize the international projection of France thanks to the high jewelry firm. With an innovative and avant-garde look, Valérie Messika has managed to gain a foothold in the fine jewelry sector at the level of the most reputable and international houses.

The delivery of this honorary title has become a marked date in Messika's rise to success, as was her first show during Paris Fashion Week in 2021, with a High Jewelery collection co-designed with Kate Moss or 2015, with the inauguration of the firm's Paris High Jewelery Atelier.
