U2's Bono's tears when talking about the Hamas massacre in Israel

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has taken on a new dimension in recent days after the terrorist group Hamas launched a new coup against the State of Israel and its citizens. The action of the paramilitary organization has had a powerful military response from the state of Jewish origin, so the actions of both sides have given rise to a true massacre with hundreds of civilians dead.

The Irish singer Bono, vocalist of the legendary rock band U2, gave a concert on October 8 at the La Sphere venue, Las Vegas, United States. The artist wanted to take advantage of this golden opportunity to remember and pay tribute to all the victims who have died due to this conflict.

To carry out this feat, the group modified the original lyrics of one of their most remembered songs: Pride (In the Name of Love). The original lyrics of this track talk about the assassination of activist Martin Luther King and represent a song to peace and “nonviolence.”

In the post that the music band has uploaded to its official Instagram account, you can see Bono very emotional while dedicating the song to the deceased, as well as singing with great feeling. ''In light of what has happened in Israel and Gaza, a song about non-violence seems somewhat ridiculous, even laughable, but our prayers have always been for peace and non-violence (...) So sing with us... and those beautiful children at that music festival...'' the musicians wrote in the publication, which has already accumulated thousands of likes and comments.

Although we have been seeing for years how the Gaza Strip is the scene of horrors and how more than 2 million people live among bombings, rubble, fear and uncertainty, it has been the unprecedented surprise attack by Hamas militiamen that has given global coverage of the conflict.

We are facing one of the biggest confrontations in decades. Following the attack, the Israel Defense Forces called up some 300,000 reservists. ''This is our 9/11,'' declared Richard Hecht, international spokesman for the Israeli Army.

''We will destroy them and we will avenge with force this dark day that they have imposed on the State of Israel and its citizens,'' said the president of Israel in a televised interview that terrified the millions of people who live in the Gaza area and its surroundings. and that they are not actively part of the group called Hamas.
