Tita Cervera goes on a "hunt" for Nieves Herrero for the publication of a book about her life: "She is going to read it with her lawyers"

Nieves Herrero has unleashed a storm in the publishing world by publishing her most recent work, La Baronesa, based on the life of Tita Cervera. The most surprising thing about the case is that the work has been published without the consent of the Baroness herself, despite the fact that it was she who, on her day, asked Herrero to write the book.

The controversy has not been long in coming. The origin of the conflict dates back to when the Baroness withdrew from her initial proposal, despite the fact that three contracts had already been signed. She offered no explanation and she completely disassociated herself from the agreement. Herrero, despite everything, decided to continue with the project, finding herself immersed in a sea of questions about the possible reasons that could have led the Baroness to make such a decision.

During his Fiesta intervention, Herrero expressed his bewilderment and disappointment. He maintained that his only intention was to bring the Baroness's story to life as she had entrusted him, but that she is now immersed in a spiral of rumors and conjecture. He also mentioned that one of the possible reasons for Cervera's withdrawal could be the preparation of a Netflix docuseries based on her life.

Aurelio Manzano, a collaborator on the program, revealed details of a conversation he had with Cervera on this thorny issue. And Herrero does not come off well. "The Baroness intends to sue. She is going to read the book with her lawyers to see if there is anything that can be sued," revealed Manzano.

According to him, the Baroness was very satisfied at first with the work of Nieves Herrero. However, after reading the first four chapters of it, she expressed her discontent and disagreement with the way she was being portrayed. The Baroness herself has spoken to LOC along the same lines: "I do not recognize myself or them, Heini was like me, a direct man, without frills, I would never have spoken like that. I did not like what he presented to me".

At that time, Tita's lawyers sent a document to the publisher, ending their collaboration on the project. This was not an impediment for the writer, as she had more freedom to undertake the work: "If I couldn't do Tita's book, I could do a book about Tita"
