Thomi and Skadi, the canine duo that has revolutionized the 'Got Talent' semi-finals and triumphs on TikTok

The Got Talent star search reaches a new level of anticipation with the third of four semi-finals and a stage packed with extraordinary hopefuls. In this crucial phase, the challenge is not only to impress, but to stand out among a group of highly talented contestants. The prize is no small thing: three coveted places in the grand final, where only the most outstanding will be able to reach.

Two of the candidates for a place in the grand final have been Thomi and Skadi, who are very popular on social networks like TikTok. This duo, made up of a dog and her owner, impressed at the auditions and in the semi-final they presented a new set of skills for this border collie, who has shown that she has enough capabilities to be an Olympic dog.

The dog has dazzled audiences by going between Thomi's legs, jumping through hoops and showing an exceptional level of obedience. But what has really left the jury and the audience with their mouths open has been Skadi's sporting skills.

In a nod to the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Thomi designed a sports circuit for his canine companion. In it, Skadi demonstrated her volleyball skills, playing an exciting match where, although the points fell on Thomi's side, the dog showed an impressive ability to receive the ball and pass it over the net.

No less amazing was his performance in basketball. With Thomi's order, Skadi picked up a small ball and hit it with a spectacular dunk. But the show didn't end there. Thomi and Skadi took their performance to the next level with a mixed martial arts-style fighting demonstration. In an exciting assault, Skadi demonstrated abilities to hit his owner, jump and maneuver with agility.

Despite the impressive range of skills and obvious effort behind their act, the duo received mixed reviews from the judges. Risto Mejide, known for his blunt criticism, noted that while Skadi had played his part, Thomi was not up to the task, suggesting that some element was missing to complete his performance. On the other hand, Paula Echevarría highlighted the wonderful relationship between Thomi and Skadi, and reflected the many hours of play and love they had to share to reach this level.
