This is 'Código 10', the new Mediaset 'true crime' with Nacho Abad and David Aleman: "It was not done on any chain"

Next Tuesday, April 18, Cuatro premieres its new program Código 10 in prime time. It is a format classified as true crime, an investigative space that will analyze various crimes committed in recent years in great detail, as well as offer new testimonials and images of all of them.

The presenters Nacho Abad and David Aleman, specialized in this type of events and with extensive experience behind them, will lead the Mediaset program that will be carried out by Producciones Mandarina. The production company is already in charge of En boca de todos, on the same channel, and will also participate in the special dedicated to Ana Obregón that Telecinco will broadcast next week.

In its premiere, Código 10 will analyze three cases that have taken place in recent years: the crime of the Sabadell twins, which occurred in July 2021; the case of the so-called black widow of Patraix, convicted of orchestrating the murder of her own husband; and the Macastre crimes in 1989, known for maintaining great similarities with the Alcàsser girls.

The format marks the return of crime investigation programs to linear television in Spain. As Abad recalls, "a space of these characteristics was not being made on any television channel". In recent times, platforms such as Netflix or HBO have taken the lead with this type of content, which includes documentaries dedicated to different murders.

To analyze these cases, Abad and Aleman will have a team of experts that will be present in all editions of the program. The Código 10 table will be made up of the forensic psychiatrist José Miguel Gaona, the policeman specialized in homicides and murders Carlos Segarra, the lawyer Bárbara Royo and the psychologist Ana Villarrubia.

In addition to these permanent collaborators, the program will also have other guests who know first-hand the different events that will be analyzed in Código 10. To do this, the experts will go to the set or live connections will be made with them, so that they also may contribute their testimony to the format.
