Looking at old photos can be like opening a portal to the past, especially those from our childhood. We often find ourselves reflecting on how that smiling child or that thoughtful little one became the person we are today. It is a journey through time, where wrinkles and changes in lifestyle become evident. But the most surprising thing is when some traits remain unchanged.
Today's cover is a great example of this. The black-and-white photograph of a boy with a serious but vaguely familiar expression invites you to scratch your head. Although the ears and features remain recognizable, the absence of color deprives us of a crucial detail: the color of the hair.
The child in question is none other than Pablo Motos, a well-known television presenter and communicator. His childish face, without a slight smile, offers a glimpse into the early years of someone who would become a prominent figure in the world of entertainment in Spain.
Pablo Motos, born in the Valencian town of Requena in 1965, is a well-known Spanish television presenter, radio host, comedian and businessman. Motos began his career in radio, working at Radio Nacional and Onda Cero in Valencia, and then made his way into television, being one of the creators of El Club de la Comedia and La noche... with Fuentes y cía.
Despite this, he is mainly known for being the host and producer of the talk show El Hormiguero since 2006. The program has been broadcast on several networks but it has been on Antena 3 where it has become a television totem attended by numerous famous, both nationally and internationally.
However, his career has not been without controversy. Motos and his program have been criticized for sexist and homophobic attitudes and comments - recently with the pilot Jorge Martín -, as well as his political positioning towards the right. Furthermore, this 2023 there have been accusations of pressure exerted by his production company to censor jokes and criticisms towards him and his program.
