Anne Igartiburu is one of the best-known television presenters in Spain, and she has achieved this thanks to her perseverance in her work. For years, the communicator from Elorrio was the prominent face of Spanish Television when it came to matters of the heart. The program D Corazón, still broadcast with Jordi González on staff, began in 1997 with Igartiburu at the helm, showing current events in a clean and entertaining way.
This past Sunday, the presenter once again stood in front of the cameras, but she also did so to celebrate a very special occasion: her birthday. The Basque journalist turned 55 and she celebrated it together with her co-presenter and making a striking wish: to stay on the air. And the evolution of the program's audiences has not been the most positive in recent years.
The duo formed by González and Igartiburu premiered with a 6.1% audience share and an average of 409,000 viewers, data below the current average of 500,000. A situation that the presenter herself wanted to comment on on the set, taking advantage of the fact that she had to blow out the candles and make a wish. The Elorrio native asked viewers to show their support for her work.
“May we continue here for a long time. Let those of us who are here do a lot of television and a lot of live broadcasts. We would love. We are going to be here making heart for a long time. You have to follow us. Tell the neighbor, to everyone, because we want to continue making TV,” insisted the presenter, who for the last 24 years has been in charge of telling the stories of the heart to the viewers of La 1, in one way or another.
Beyond his efforts in front of the cameras and screens, Igartiburu also dedicates part of his time to other equally outstanding projects. One of them is as a prescriber of Pronokal, the most prominent company in the area of weight loss and maintenance. The Basque communicator, who also collaborates on Dancing with the Stars, has contributed part of her personal experience when collaborating with the firm.
“I am very grateful that my passion, personal development, connects with my other professional facet, communication. In this workshop we have highlighted the support provided by the coach to achieve objectives by working on motivation and professionals from areas such as beauty, well-being, health, communication, influencers... It has been very, very good," explained the presenter in conversation with La Vanguard.
