The last-minute statement from Edwin Arrieta's friends reveals clues about his defense

The case of Daniel Sancho enters a key month. The Thai Police have just delivered their final report to the Prosecutor's Office, in which they maintain the accusation of premeditated murder of Edwin Arrieta, as confirmed by Efe. Prosecutors must deliver theirs before October 29, at which point the judge can set a date for the trial.

The defenses of the parties also move. In the case of the plastic surgeon, the family changed legal representatives. Now, the lawyer Juan Gonzalo Ospina will defend his interests. From now on, there will be no public statements from his friends, as confirmed by themselves through their Instagram account.

"Today we say goodbye with our hearts broken into a thousand pieces, but respecting what was requested by his family. Their administrative lawyer and spokesperson in Madrid have requested not to receive people, not to give information, not to damage the process and only to handle it in privacy, situation that we respect," his friends explain through a story published on the account @justicia_para_edwin_arrieta.

Arrieta's relatives take the opportunity to send a message of gratitude to the followers: "Respected and appreciated followers, we have no words for the infinite displays of support, of asking for justice, of being in prayer for the strength of his family and telling us about the events that They appeared in Spain and Thailand that we didn't know."

In addition, the friends send a loving public message: "We will never forget Edwin." And they do not hide their pain for not having "the son, the brother, the uncle, the boy, the great man that he proved to be."

Daniel Sancho, son of actor Rodolfo Sancho and grandson of Sancho Gracia, was arrested on August 5, when he confessed to the murder and dismemberment of the Colombian at the police station on the tourist island of Phangan, in the south of the country. Now, he is waiting for the investigations to finish and for a date to be set for the trial for the death of Edwin Arrieta.
