The judge in the Daniel Sancho case prohibits reporting on what happens during the trial

The judge in charge of the case of Daniel Sancho, accused of the premeditated murder of the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta, this Tuesday prohibited all attendees from reporting on what is happening within the trial.

The judge in the case, whose name is confidential, has ordered on what is the first day of the trial, to which EFE did have access, that nothing be reported on what happens inside the room in which it is held and has banned access to journalists.

Likewise, it has warned all parties, including lawyers and the prosecutor, not to offer details of the process, and has stressed that if there are suspicions that information has been disseminated, it will be prosecuted and would carry prison sentences.

The oral trial began around 9:45 local time (GMT 7) in the provincial court of Samui (an island in the south of Thailand), where dozens of media attended, and in the first session witnesses from the Prosecutor's Office testified who agreed with Sancho on the island of Phangan, where the crime allegedly took place on August 2.
