The ironic response to Meghan and Enrique after demanding the images from the persecution photographers

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demanded that a photo agency hand over images taken by paparazzi in what they called a "near catastrophic car chase" on Tuesday night. "We demand that Backgrid immediately provide us with copies of all photos, videos and/or film taken last night by the freelance photographers as the couple left the event and for the next few hours," their lawyers said in a letter to the agency.

For his part, instead of obeying the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Backgrid responded with a letter in a sarcastic tone: "In the United States, as I'm sure you know, property belongs to the owner of the property: third parties cannot simply demand that it be delivered to them, as perhaps kings can do".

"Perhaps you should sit down with your client and tell him that your English royal prerogative rules to require citizens to hand over their property to the Crown were rejected by this country long ago. We stand behind our founding fathers," they added.

Backgrind not only refused to deliver the images to the British prince and his wife, but had previously denied the claims about that car chase that he initially remembered in which Lady Di, Enrique's mother, lost her life. They did so in a statement to the American Page Six: "According to the photographers present, there were almost no collisions or crashes during this incident. The photographers reported that they felt that the couple was not in immediate danger at any time."

On Wednesday, Page Six reported that Markle and his mother, Doria Ragland, were "extremely upset and shocked" after being chased for two hours in what could have been a "nearly catastrophic" incident. That night, the exactriz had received a Woman of Vision award from the feminist organization Ms. Foundation for Women from her friend, Gloria Steinem.
