Operación Triunfo is about to close its twelfth edition with a final that seems epic. This year, the contest has made the leap to Amazon Prime Video, offering a unique experience on pay television.
With six contenders for the title - Juanjo, Lucas, Martin, Naiara, Paul and Ruslana - the change in the voting system for the final gala has generated great confusion, as it marks an important difference compared to the 2020 edition.
Followers of the current edition of Operación Triunfo will be able to see the grand finale of the contest on February 19. As usual, the last gala can be seen promptly at 10:00 p.m. on Amazon Prime Video.
You just have to take a quick look around social media to realize that there is a great favorite: Naiara. The Aragonese contestant was one of the first to earn a place in the final and, if what is said on the networks is paid attention to, she has all the numbers to beat her teammates.
In fact, even Chenoa, the presenter of the contest, has recognized that Naiara is the clear favorite: "I agree with the public. Naiara will win because she is the most 360."
The first phase means that, after the six finalists perform their performances, a first vote is carried out. The votes accumulated during the week will determine the results of this phase. The three contestants with the fewest votes will be automatically eliminated from the contest.
As Tinet Rubira, head of Gestmusic, explained, once the three finalists are defined, the votes will be set to zero. With the lines reopened, the three remaining finalists will have the opportunity to perform again the songs they performed at Gala 0.
During the live broadcast of the final, an extra vote will be opened that will allow the public to decide the winner of this edition of Operación Triunfo based solely on the performances of the last night.
