The emotional message that María del Monte sent to her audience after the big altercation with her nephew, Antonio Tejado

María del Monte has been the indirect protagonist of current news since her home in Gines was attacked last August. The incident, the result of the actions of a Portuguese gang of thieves, took an unexpected turn when the arrest of one of those involved became known: her nephew, Antonio Tejado. Since then, when the former television collaborator went to prison, the artist has remained silent.

A fact that was broken this Thursday afternoon through the TardeAR program, presented on Telecinco by Ana Rosa Quintana. The singer has been interviewed in Cullera, where the night before she gave an emotional concert and a message to her followers. Del Monte has remained relatively brief when faced with the reporter's questions, giving a simple but forceful statement in response to everything that has happened.

“In life you have to move things forward and work is one of the things that you always have to move forward,” expressed the artist. During her performance in the Valencian town, María also addressed the audience to escape from her surroundings: “Thank you for being here, we all have problems but this little time that we are going to share we are going to try to put them aside, have fun and put a smile on life. There are things that are not easy but nothing is impossible.”

Despite her efforts, the shadow of Tejado's arrest is long and tries to follow her wherever she goes. Without going any further, she recently rejected a large amount of money offered by a television program that wanted to interview her, in particular about the case of her nephew. Her information was revealed in Espejo Público by collaborator Miquel Valls, within the Más Espejo section dedicated to the world of entertainment.

“There is another offer that they have made to María del Monte, it would be 100,000 euros to sit on a set and tell her story. “María, today, has said that she is not,” Valls revealed, without making exact reference to the program in question. However, the reactions on the set and the speculations pointed towards ¡De Fridays!, the weekly nighttime space of the heart presented by Beatriz Archidona and Santi Acosta on Telecinco.

For his part, Tejado would also be in the spotlight on the small screen: “Antonio Tejado's representative has contacted his mother and brother. There is a firm offer for them to speak on television, an offer that exceeds 60,000 euros. Antonio's family has forwarded this to Antonio's representative so that she can contact the lawyer to find out whether or not this could harm the judicial process that is still open."
