The dramatic episode of Paula Vázquez: "I was sterile"

For a month now, Paula Vázquez has been wasting energy on her return to television thanks to El puente de las mentiras, which is broadcast every Wednesday on La 1 de TVE. However, there is a very hard episode in her personal life, which was unknown until now, which has impacted the audience.

The Galician revealed for the first time her impossibility of being a mother due to an event that left her sterile. An intimate episode that was triggered in one of the worst years in the presenter's life. We refer to 2010, at which time Mediaset decided to do without her figure for the chain's programs.

She went from being one of Mediaset's star presenters with an effervescent and consolidated career to disappearing in 2010 from the media and television spotlight. However, that year she became her annus horribilis in her personal sphere as well. This has been confessed by Paula Vázquez herself in La Ventana of the Ser chain.

And it is that in a few months “there were too many slaps”, assured the journalist. "In those three months, when I was fired from Cuatro, my two grandmothers died, who were my reason for living," Vázquez began by explaining. But, in addition, she suffered an episode that would forever change her life and her possibility of being her mother.

“I had an ectopic pregnancy, which was also a shock to me,” she explained. "And I was sterile," she said in one of the most intimate and personal confessions that Paula Vázquez has ever made in the media.

As a result of all this, “I fell into a depression. What happens is that I didn't know it, my life was still normal, I thought it was fine”. But it wasn't like that. The presenter asked for help and put herself in the hands of professionals and for three years she was "in treatment".

In fact, “I continued with psychoanalysis, because it enriches me, you know yourself; I have learned from myself and from others”. That time away from the screen helped her focus on rebuilding herself both physically and mentally and looking to the future with different eyes.
