Netflix has published the list of the 10 most viewed non-English language films in the history of the platform. The surprise is in the top 5 of the ranking, since there are four that have a Catalan seal in some way or another.
The most viewed non-English language film on Netflix is the Norwegian film Trol, which has 103 million views.
The second position is occupied by Nowhere with 85.7 million views. In the film we find two prominent Catalan names. The Barcelona actress Anna Castillo stars in this drama directed by Albert Pintó from Terrassa.
El hoyo, the science fiction thriller starring the Catalan Ivan Massagué, occupies third position on the list and has been viewed up to 82.9 million times.
Although it hasn't been on the platform for even a month, The Snow Society, by the Catalan J.A. Bayona is already the fourth most viewed film on this list. In fact, for the third consecutive week, the film remains on the podium of the most viewed in the Netflix world ranking.
In these 21 days, the story about the plane crash catastrophe in the Andes has already accumulated 64.4 million views.
The top 5 of the most viewed non-English language films on Netflix is closed by the teen film Through My Window, directed by Marçal Forés. In total they have seen it 61.1 million times.
Netflix extends its list to 10 movies. The ranking is completed by Alias, Blood Red Sky, My Name is Vengeance, Black Crab and All Quiet on the Front.
