Sonia Monroy surprises her followers with a bizarre dance for St. Patrick's Day

Yesterday, as every March 17, Saint Patrick's Day was celebrated, a holiday that commemorates the death of said Christian saint. Being the patron saint of Ireland, this day is a national holiday in the country and all its inhabitants take to the streets and bars to dance as a community and have fun.

Over the years, the holiday has spread to America and Central Europe and now you can find small events, events and celebrations in almost any country dedicated to this special day for the Irish.

Sonia Monroy, a Spanish actress and singer living in Hollywood, wanted to celebrate this important day on the calendar in a big way and went out to have fun with a spectacular hope green outfit that made her look like just another Irish woman in the crowd.

Although we saw her enjoying a party in honor of the aforementioned saint, the fourth finalist of Survivors 2011  has gone viral on the Internet thanks to a video that she later uploaded to her official Instagram account.

In the audiovisual piece that some Spanish content creators such as Lala Chus or Alexsinos have shared on their Instagram profiles, Monroy tries to repeat some of the supposedly typical steps of the Irish dance. However, after verifying that she is not very good at this type of conservative and traditional dance, the Catalan actress tries to surprise the audience with some more 'moving' steps.

With a big smile on his face, Monroy delights his followers by twerking to the sound of the bagpipes and thus makes the piece magnetic, fun and even ironic for the audience. ''When you invent the typical dance on St. Patrick's Day,'' the woman wrote as the title of the post.

Although he has disabled the comments on the publication in which he dances a typical Irish song, Monroy's dance is causing a lot of talk on social networks and platforms such as Instagram and X (previously known as Twitter).

It should be noted that if Sonia Monroy has shown anything over the last few years, it is that she is a strong woman and that she has a great sense of spectacle. Furthermore, the artist from Barcelona knows how to laugh at herself, a weapon that she does not hesitate to use to entertain the public, get media attention and generate social conversation around her.
