Shakira shares her struggle as a single mother and artist at the same time: "I faint"

Shakira is a strong woman. You only have to take a look at her senior year to understand that she is a strong woman and that she is willing to overcome any obstacle that stands between her and her happiness.

The separation from her husband of more than ten years, former FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué, was a very hard process for the woman from Barranquilla, since the sports businessman quickly began another romantic relationship with a young woman named Clara Chía.

In addition to the hard emotional blow that both she and her children were going through, the singer of Loba, La Bicicleta and Monotonía had to endure great media pressure for months, since she had become one of the protagonists of the global social panorama. Faced with such persecution by the press (they followed her children at the school door and countless other uncomfortable situations), the Colombian decided to leave the country and moved with Milan and Sasha to Miami, United States. .

During all that time, Shakira decided not to give many explanations and not talk about the reasons for the breakup, but she did let off steam through her songs. In songs like TQG, Acróstico or Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, Carlos Vives' friend launched different attacks at the man with whom she had shared her life for more than 12 years.

The artist is very excited about the release of her new album, Women No Longer Cry, which was released just a few hours ago. On the occasion of this publication, Shakira gave an interview to Apple Music 1 in which she opened up: ''I heal myself through this music, and I am still healing. It's a process, but without a doubt music has played a very therapeutic role.''

''I say that when I write music it's like going to the therapist, but cheaper. And it helps you exercise many intense emotions and feelings that, otherwise, would simply fossilize," she said, excited to be able to share her experiences with the public.

In the conversation with the aforementioned media, Mebarak acknowledged that she feels the pressure of being a single mother and has confessed that her schedules are crazy: ''Yesterday I got home at seven in the morning. My children were already waiting for me, so I had breakfast with them, I stayed up with them. Sometimes I don't even go to sleep until it's his bedtime. That's what I do because I want to spend time with my kids and put them to bed and then I pass out. "It's the first time I've really had to deal with so much as a single mother."

In addition to emphasizing her desire to share moments with her children, Shakira has made it clear that she values her friendships a lot: ''I love love, but I think I even love friendship a little more. Because I thought love would always be there for me and that is one of my broken dreams. I don't know if I'll find it again. Probably not, I don't know. But friendship, yes."
