A few hours ago, Antonio Tejado was arrested, along with eight other people, for alleged involvement in a gang of Portuguese origin that was responsible for robbing houses in Aljarafe (Seville). From the moment the news broke, there were many reports suggesting that it could be related to the robbery suffered by her aunt, María del Monte, in her home a few months ago.
After spending 72 hours in jail waiting for the judge's decision, the singer's nephew has been sent to provisional prison, as revealed by the Diario de Sevilla, among other media. According to the Civil Guard, the Sevillian would be the intellectual author of the robbery.
The Fiesta program put on the table that the perpetrators of the robbery at María del Monte's house "knew details about the house that only those closest to the singer know." For this reason, Antonio Tejado put himself in the spotlight. As Pepe del Real revealed in Let's see, the family already suspected that the collaborator could have passed information to the robbers.
For this reason, the singer's nephew has been accused of a long list of crimes. "Membership in a criminal organization, robbery with violence, illegal detention, drug trafficking and reception," Isabel Rábago revealed.
In turn, the journalist has assured that Tejado was "from the first moment in the crosshairs of this entire operation." Among other things, María del Monte's statement made it clear that the robbery was "practically commissioned," since they went for "very specific" things.
Rábago has also put on the table that another aspect that alerted the Civil Guard about the involvement of a member of the singer's family in the robbery was the low level of violence of the gang in this case. And it is an organized group characterized by using maximum violence in their robberies. However, in the case of the singer they only gagged her.
And although this involvement is dealing a huge blow to the family, and specifically to the singer, it is something that does not surprise them given the bad life she was leading in recent years. "The bad company, her pace of life and her addiction to alcohol" would have put her family on alert, according to Antonio Rossi.
A statement released by the Armed Institute stated that the detainees intended to carry out a new coup with which they wanted to obtain one million euros. Although the gang was larger, only six of them have been placed in provisional prison, among whom is Antonio Tejado.
Although she has not yet made a statement after bypassing the judge's decision, María del Monte wanted to give a statement in the last few hours. Among other things, she claimed to be having a very bad time and called for "the presumption of innocence." And it is not surprising given the magnificent relationship that existed between aunt and nephew.
