Piqué responds to those who remind him of Shakira between boos: "I am world champion and you are nobody"

This Saturday, all eyes were on the Kings and Queens League final. The soccer leagues created by Gerard Piqué played their final at the Cívitas Metropolitano, the Atlético de Madrid stadium, where very exciting moments were experienced. The truth is that the footballer also had to face a somewhat unpleasant episode with some followers of his ex-partner, the Colombian singer Shakira, and his way of dealing with it has not gone unnoticed.

The first tense moment of the afternoon occurred in one of the performances. Manuel Turizo was one of the guest artists in the grand finale. The artist did not finally rule out Copa Vacía from his repertoire, one of his last singles, in which he collaborates with the artist of I congratulate you. The singer's voice sounded throughout the stadium, even reaching the ears of her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué. A few months ago, the businessman already explained that there would be no censorship of guest artists at his events and that they were free to sing any of his hits, so it was not surprising that Turizo ultimately opted for his success with Shakira.

On the other hand, players, presidents and other staff of the league went to a famous nightclub in the Spanish capital to celebrate the final of this championship. When Gerard Piqué took the stage, the audience also added fuel to the matter by endlessly chanting "Shakira, Shakira, Shakira...". "And what's up? What's up?" the businessman then asked, visibly upset. "I don't care, I am world champion and you are nobody," he expressed then. Some words that the public did not finish liking.

On the other hand, these were not the only uncomfortable moments that the businessman had to face, since Iker Casillas, another of the organizers of the championship, hesitated to ask his friend to play Waka, Waka, the famous song of the Colombian artist for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, in whose video clip Gerard Piqué also appears. This issue was the starting point in their relationship, which would end up lasting more than a decade.

After this controversy, the former athlete spoke through his social networks this Sunday. Piqué shared some images in which the crowd at the nightclub is seen shouting his name. "In Madrid they have always loved me," says the businessman, adding a red heart. Gerard's particular way of putting an end to the controversy has not gone unnoticed.

Gerard Piqué and the Acrostic interpreter communicated the end of their relationship at the beginning of June 2022. The couple put an end to a relationship of more than a decade and two children together, Sasha and Milan. After a breakup in the media and several judicial processes to define the future of the little ones, Shakira left Barcelona last April to establish her residence in Miami, together with her two children. A separation that, more than a year later, continues to give much to talk about.
