Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are launching two new Netflix shows about at-home lifestyle and polo as part of their ongoing $100 million deal with the streaming giant. The Duchess' project will focus on the lifestyle inside her Montecito home and comes after the launch of her new home products brand, American Riviera Orchard.
For his part, Prince Enrique will delve into the world of professional polo, a sport he has practiced since childhood. Part of the show has apparently been filming this weekend at the Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, and its content promises to "give viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo."
The American edition of the magazine Hello! has spoken with Nacho Figueras, Prince Enrique's Argentine friend, who has offered more details about his relationship with the son of Carlos III and has also talked about the new Netflix show, in which Figueras has been very involved. This weekend, Figueras along with his wife, the former model and photographer Delfina Blaquier, whom he married in 2004, have starred in many images with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"We keep in touch a lot, which is incredible. It's great to have a friendship in which you feel very close even though we are not always together," Figueras said of his contacts with Enrique, with whom he has maintained a close friendship since 2007 as a result of his encounters in polo tournaments.
"We have been working on this for a long time," he said about his new project that will soon see the light of day. "It was always Harry's dream and passion to be able to share this world, what it takes to be a truly competitive polo player and show polo at the highest level [...] I can't think of many people who could be better him to be the one to kick off this narrative," he defended.
Nacho Figueras, 47, is an Argentine polo player, model and actor who has come to be nicknamed the Argentine Beckham. The athlete and Enrique met in 2007 through polo and since then they have maintained a very good friendship. What's more, Figueras has never hesitated to defend his friend in public, and has even participated in his first Netflix documentary.
