Mediaset backtracks with 'Save me': 'Friday Deluxe' will finally not end on June 23

Important news on the Mediaset grid for the coming weeks. About a month after it became known that Sálvame would end its broadcasts at the end of the television season, the communication group initially delayed its forecasts of broadcasting the last installment of the Telecinco evening program on June 16 to increase its broadcast by one week more, until the 23rd.

Now, Mediaset takes a similar decision with Viernes Deluxe, the prime time version of the program. Initially, it was expected that the end of the program would take place on the same day as Sálvame, that is, on June 23. And as will happen with the daily edition, Cuarzo Producciones has been commissioned to carry out the program that will replace Friday Deluxe and that will have Sandra Barneda as presenter, just like the future Así es la vida.

As La Vanguardia has learned, the Deluxe will have two more broadcasts compared to what was initially planned and will end its run on Telecinco next Friday, July 7. The reason why Mediaset has backed down on its decision to broadcast the space for the last time on June 23 would be limited to "scheduling adjustments", without giving more details about its unexpected decision.

The history of the program, initially known as Sálvame Deluxe, is closely linked to that of its daily strip. A month before Jorge Javier Vázquez and the team of collaborators hit the screens every afternoon, in 2009, a first version was released under the name Sálvame Golfo, dedicated to commenting on the news of the Survivors edition issued at that time. . Months later, the format was recovered under the name Sálvame Deluxe.

Despite the fact that the visible faces of the program continue to treat its end in a humorous key, the truth is that The TV factory has had to make difficult decisions to save the furniture after the closure of its flagship product. The production company has seen the realization of an ERE inevitable that could leave an important part of its workforce on the street.

In the same way, its collaborators must seek accommodation in other programs or projects, both within television and outside of it. Some of them, like Belén Esteban, are already immersed in their new plans, with an eye on a future without Save Me.
