Televisión Española has made an important determination regarding the broadcast of MasterChef, which premieres its eleventh edition this Monday on La 1. In this way, the public corporation tries to respond to the complaints received from the audience, which claimed that the culinary talent did not end each of its broadcasts so late.
The requests, channeled through the Defender of the Spectator that TVE has, have come to fruition. Starting this week, MasterChef will double its presence on the weekly grid of La 1 with a delivery on Monday and a second on Tuesday, each of them shorter than previous editions.
Specifically, the premiere of MasterChef 11 will take place on the night of this Monday 27 at 10:10 p.m. with the official presentation of its contestants. We will have to wait, yes, until Tuesday night at the same time to see those new faces of the contest in front of the stove.
The split request was made by RTVE to the show's producer, Shine Iberia, as its CEO, Macarena Rey, has assured. Until now, all the editions of MasterChef have ended around 1:30 in the morning, making it difficult to follow for those who had to get up early the next day.
The novelties that this new edition of MasterChef brings are not limited solely to its place on the grid. In addition to this time change, the program opens its set and scenery, with new kitchens and a meeting room for its participants.
The latter also grow, since the 15 applicants of the previous edition go from 30, exactly double. In this way, TVE ensures that it can be broadcast until the arrival of summer, coinciding with the end of the television season.
