Marc Márquez breaks down after leaving Honda: "My team at heart will always be you"

Marc Márquez leaves Honda. The HRC competition team (Honda Racing Corporation) and the driver have broken the news through social networks, making it clear that the decision has been made mutually.

His four-year contract will come to an end at the end of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship season. The end of this era is not being easy for the Catalan, who has shown himself to be most vulnerable on his Instagram profile.

"I don't know where to start, I don't know if I'm doing right or wrong, I don't know what will happen in the future, I don't know if all this will turn out well, but what I do know is that everything we have achieved together" says the pilot in a most emotional statement.

Márquez has described it as "the most difficult decision of his life", pointing out that he was guided by his head and not by his heart. "I want to try to be the best rider in the world again and for that I need to enjoy riding the bike" he continues.

Márquez has also commented on this turn on his X account (formerly Twitter), where he thanks the 11-year journey with the brand and reviews its numerous titles. "Separated, but always together!" announces the Catalan pilot.

After leaving Honda, the Ducati name could be on the horizon for the rider. Ducati's top sports manager, Gigi dall'Igna, already took it for granted in an interview: “Marc has been one of the strongest riders in history, so the fact that he wants to get on a Ducati can only make us happy” said the engineer.
