Manu Ríos shows off his torso at the Cannes Film Festival

One of the most anticipated premieres at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival was Extraña Forma de Vida, the short film directed by Pedro Almodóvar in collaboration with Saint Laurent. It was last summer when the filmmaker from La Mancha shot this short in the Tabernas de Almería desert, a western project that many have dubbed the Spanish Brokeback Mountain and which stars Ethan Kawke and Pedro Pascal.

This Wednesday, Almodóvar and his boys collapsed Cannes with their looks. In addition to Hakwe, the four young performers who also participate in the short were present: José Condessa, George Steane, Jason Fernández and Manu Ríos. Everyone was amused and even joked with the press in this presentation where they wore looks by Antthony Vaccarello, creative director of Saint Laurent.

Manu Ríos caused a sensation with one of the outfits from the autumn-winter 2023 collection that left his torso visible. The Spanish actor, who already caught all eyes at the latest edition of the Met Gala, wore an off-white blouse that stood out for its loose neckline and draped sash around the waist. He completed the look with wide-legged pants, patent leather shoes and a choker-style necklace.

The Portuguese José Condessa also opted to show cleavage with a black jumpsuit with a shirt-like body from the house's spring-summer 2023 collection. Another of the actors that drew attention was Jason Fernández, in a sleeveless striped blouse with a large bow at the neck.

The look that Manu Ríos wore belongs to one of Vaccarello's most demanding collections at the helm of Saint Laurent. It was in the last edition of Paris Fashion Week when he presented a men's line on the catwalk with pieces inspired by those traditionally feminine. "I really want everyone to be almost one person (…) That women can be men, and men can be women. Without any difference. I want to put them more and more on the same level. Without distinction," said the designer.

On the red carpet, all the protagonists of the short once again wore Saint Laurent suits. In the case of Ríos, he opted to combine his tuxedo with a black shirt with a tie, while Condessa and Fernández wore loose-cut jackets without a shirt underneath.
