Loreto Martínez presents a collection to "go to the fair without being dressed as flamenco"

A parade and a workshop full of polka dots, ruffles and carnations. The third Thursday of the month of January was presented as a veritable maelstrom of emotions and feelings on the surface for Loreto Martínez from Almería. That day she stormed the Weloveflamenco catwalk with a capsule that talked about her roots, the women in her life, and her progress in her fashion.

“Angelita is a collection that I will always remember with great affection. For my grandmother, but also for all the learning that she has entailed,” the creative wrote on her social networks, a few days after the parade. “Designing and sewing flamenco dresses has been a wonderful experience,” she added.

Loreto Martínez brought all her art from Almería to Seville to bring the most avant-garde flamenco fashion to her territory, contributing her essence and character to the traditional costume. A brand that has always been characterized by color, volumes and designs full of personality and that, with the 'Angelita' collection, has sought to create exclusive designs to “go to the fair without being dressed as flamenco.”

Colors, ruffles, flowers and glitter danced on the Sevillian catwalk for the enjoyment of all the attendees and guests of the brand. The designer thanked the entire team of women behind 'Angelita', the collection named after her grandmother, who "have worked hard and with infinite desire to make everything perfect."

Loreto Martínez wanted to dedicate a space of gratitude to the designer Andrew Pocrid, who taught her to understand how ruffles work, one of the key aspects in a dress with a flamenco aesthetic. “You don't know how much he has helped us, thank you for your generosity,” said Martínez.

A dance where race, power and love of art worked in unison to make Spanish culture vibrate and honor. Also a love letter to her grandmother, a source of inspiration for the designer. “Angelita is everything I have grown up with, Grandma. I hope you are proud of her and that you enjoy it as much up there as we are doing here.”
