Kiko Rivera is diagnosed with a serious illness about to turn 40

The last few years have been complicated for Kiko Rivera in terms of his health. The Sevillian DJ suffered a stroke in 2022, a scare for which he was hospitalized again last summer. In addition, Isabel Pantoja's son also revealed that his heart "does not work properly", he suffers from diabetes, gout, hypertension and last Thursday he had to cancel his commitments to undergo surgery.

"It's time to take care of yourself guys, it's time to take life in a different way, it's time to give it a try and, above all, it's time to live," the Sevillian wrote from the hospital to his followers on social networks. However, on the verge of turning 40, Kiko has received another diagnosis that will change his life again.

Isabel Pantoja's son is going through a delicate moment of health, as he has been diagnosed with osteonecrosis. A disorder that he discovered after going to specialists after complaining of pain in his knee. Even so, the Sevillian remains positive, as he confirmed to the media. It is not "nothing that cannot be fixed."

Osteonecrosis (also aseptic necrosis) is a disease in which there is a loss of blood flow to bone tissues, causing bone deterioration. It is very common in the hips and extremities. If osteonecrosis is not treated, the joint will deteriorate, leading to severe arthritis, which will require surgery.

It can be caused by a previous illness or serious injury, but also by continued alcohol abuse or by occurring without a known cause.

Luckily for the DJ, the disease has a better prognosis of being detected in time, which is precisely his case. Thus, he will be able to avoid surgery and simply focus on analgesic treatment, as he himself has confirmed on his social networks: "There is no need to operate. I will be back soon. This year we made a mess of it."

It will be necessary to see if Kiko Rivera manages to recover, because depending on the effectiveness of his treatment, he could range from a complete cure to permanent damage to his knees. From now on, she must take care of herself. Among other things, she must avoid alcohol, which is added to the special diet that she must follow due to her condition as a diabetic, hypertensive and gout sufferer.

Next February 9, Kiko Rivera will turn 40 years old. A very important date for the Sevillian DJ, which he will undoubtedly celebrate in style with his wife, Irene Rosales, and her two daughters, Ana (8) and Carlota (5). Those who will surely not be part of the party will be his mother, Isabel Pantoja; but neither does her sister, Isa, with whom he currently has no relationship.
