José Luis Gil's daughter gives the latest news on her father's health: "We are still here, holding his hand"

In November 2021, the actor José Luis Gil (known for his roles in Aqui no hay que viva and La que se cerca) suffered an ischemic stroke that forced him to remain hospitalized in the ICU for a difficult period. After a few very difficult weeks, it was announced that the artist was facing a tough recovery process and that he had to put his work commitments on hold for the moment.

Since then, although the artist has been improving, he has not been able to return to the stage or television sets. Faced with this situation, many of his fans have dedicated loving messages and comments to him on social networks.

A few months ago, the artist's daughter, Irene Gil, opened up in an interview for Pronto magazine and explained that her father's return to the small screen is nothing more than an unattainable dream today: "I don't think my father I can go back to television (...) I don't see it, but I hope I'm wrong and everything changes for the better in the future. Although the passage of time makes you lose hope."

As he explained, José Luis Gil suffers from serious communication problems due to the stroke he suffered a couple of years ago, which is why he needs daily help and would not be able to successfully play his role as an actor again.

"He has mobility, but he is not a very young man. My father recognizes everyone. If someone comes to see him, he knows who it is, he finds out everything, but he has problems communicating," said the girl, implying that they are living a complicated situation.

Irene Gil has surprised the followers of the legendary 'Juan Cuesta' with a photo of the actor in which he can be seen in good physical shape taking a walk down the street. In addition, the young woman has written a very special title for the publication: ''Here we continue, holding his hand, the whole family.''

In the post, the young woman wanted to launch a request to the media and to all those who talk about her father's health 'without knowing': ''Please, do not spread news without having any certainty, you do a lot of harm. We continue without changes, working to be better every day. To all of you who have been concerned, thank you. It is an honor to know how much you love and respect him. Happy Easter to all."
