Johnny Depp's representative breaks his silence after Lola Claudini's harassment complaint

At the end of January, in an episode of the Powerful truth angels podcast, actress Lola Glaudini recounted having been mistreated by Johnny Depp on the filming set of Blow.

Now the actor has broken his silence. "Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with the cast and crew, and this account differs greatly from other members on set's recollection of that moment," a rep for Depp said in a statement.

The actress said that while filming a scene for the 2001 film Blow, director Ted Demme told Glaudini to "start laughing" while Depp delivered a monologue.

“I heard the foot and laughed a lot, just like they asked me to,” Glaudini said. “And Johnny Depp, when they said cut, came up to me, stuck his finger in my face and said, 'Who the fuck do you think you are?' Shut up, I'm here and I'm trying to say my lines! Damn idiot! Oh, now it's not so funny and can you just shut the fuck up? “Silent as you are now, that is how you stay.”

Glaudini said this happened on his first day on set and that he had not met Depp: “This was my first studio film; Until then he had only made independent films. And I have the star that I've idolized, that I'm so excited to work with, that he yelled in my face. The only thing that went through my head was: 'Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.'"

The actress recalled that Depp approached her later and gave her “an unapologetic apology,” saying, “Before I was really in my head and staying in character, I'm doing this Boston accent, which is really fucking with me. So I'm a little tense and stuff. So I just wanted to make sure we're okay and everything.”

She continued: “I looked at him and thought, 'I don't know what you're talking about. Of course, what are you talking about? Everything is fine.’ Because I was remembering what Dad says: ‘Never let them see you breathe.’ So that was it.”

Glaudini also noted that Demme, who died in 2002, did not apologize to her after the incident: "The director didn't come to say anything," making her feel like she was "totally abandoned." "When we finished filming, I was like an outcast," she added. "No one wanted to talk to me, because she was the bitch he criticized."
