It has been expensive for actress Itziar Ituño to demonstrate in favor of ETA prisoners: she has lost these jobs

Itziar Ituño has placed himself in the media center for his decision to express himself openly about his political beliefs. And it is something that always generates controversy in any famous person. However, this time he has set the networks on fire by participating in a demonstration in Bilbao to demand the release of ETA prisoners.

Some 20,000 people, according to the Municipal Police of the Basque capital, attended this march under the slogan Konponbiderako Giltzak (Keys to resolution). It was the Sare group that was in charge of leading this day, which had the support of several Catalan political parties and some well-known faces, including the actress.

An attendance that represents great support for the cause, taking into account that the interpreter of Inspector Raquel Murillo in La casa de papel has 5 million followers on social networks. And it's not that she was trying to hide from her gaze, since she was leading one of the sections, while she grabbed a huge banner.

With this, it is quite certain that Itziar Ituño was clear that it could affect his professional career, but he did not hesitate to defend his ideals. And the consequences have not been long in coming.

Apart from her roles as an actress, the Basque has collaborations on her Instagram account as an influencer. And it is one of these, which could be one of the most important, that has fallen as a result of what happened. A Basque dealer has announced the end of collaboration between BMW Lurauto and Ituño.

Those responsible for the brand do not want to be linked to any controversy: "With any political ideology, which is why we regret that the image of BMW Lurauto has been linked to any type of act with ideological content." Likewise, they appeal to the understanding of their "beloved community and customers" to understand that they have nothing to do with the decisions of their former brand ambassador.

But it is not the only consequence that expressing your thoughts has had. As Diario Vasco reveals, Iberia would have deleted the promotional images of the actress. For its part, Confidencial Digital has revealed that the company will not carry out any more advertising campaigns with Itziar Ituño.

Decisions that are very likely not to affect the artist on a personal level. And it is not the first time that she has spoken publicly about the problems she has had expressing her ideology. "We are naked in the face of all those attacks to which some of us have been subjected for being, for thinking and for expressing what we think," she said at an awards ceremony.
