Inés Hernand attacks the TVE Council: "There are people who want me not to be there"

Inés Hernand has become, overnight, one of the most talked about names at the Goya Awards. The lawyer and influencer is at the center of the hurricane after her behavior on the red carpet in Valladolid, with out of place comments towards the films, the organization of news coverage and even some directed at the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in a evening that seemed very long according to his words.

After the president's own interventions and a statement from RTVE, where the woman from Madrid works as a reporter, it was the turn of the person involved to respond. “I am normal, that is, neither overexcited nor below ratios that do not respond to the disproportionality that is occurring now,” Hernand responded during his interview on the podcast Superlativas, presented by Carlota Corredera.

“There are a total of 7 hours that is an entertainment 'show', it is not really to report on the reverse shots, the photography... It was not a cinematic torture. It was not José Luis Garci. It was simply Inés Hernand making the painting because there is something of my vehemence, because perhaps my cortex or fontanel has not completely closed correctly that leads me to speak like that," the reporter explained in response to the controversy.

“Throughout those 7 hours, very beautiful moments occur that have not been brought to light on the networks either, which I deeply regret. No one called me on the phone to tell me how angry they were that I burped. I believe that it does not correspond to the News Committee because it was not being informed, an entertainment program was being made and, therefore, it does not fall under the jurisdiction of this section,” he expanded after the doubts that arose.

“How much energy do I want to invest in this? As long as they pay me for what I've worked and it doesn't affect my colleagues at RTVE Play or future projects in which I may be involved, I don't care. My recipe for these cases is not to go on the Internet. I understand that within the council, because this is voted on by a council that has representation as a parliamentary type of different political factions... well, there are people who want me not to be there,” she stated.

“The only thing that came to the Committee member was the belch. I'm serious. I don't think I saw the three-hour live show,” Inés Hernand concluded, in her first words after RTVE's statement condemning her attitude. “As much as you want to give a light-hearted, alternative tone designed for a young audience, any content that carries the RTVE brand must comply with the quality and neutrality standards included in the RTVE style book,” the letter stated.
