"I felt like I was drowning," he said, describing that moment when he thought he was going to die, coming to think that at least "I was going to die doing something I like." In a panic she came to take the bottle from his instructor, who with all the calm in the world redirected the situation.
Thanks to their experience they both went up to the surface and shared the oxygen passing the mouthpiece. Because she managed to stay calm, things turned out well and everything ended in a huge scare as a result of a failure in her bottle, but it has undoubtedly been marked forever for Belén Rueda.
