Gerard Depardieu faces a new sexual assault lawsuit after being denounced by actress Hélène Darras

The French actress Hélène Darras has taken a big step: she has denounced the actor Gérard Depardieu for sexual assault, who has been publicly accused this year by fifteen women for his inappropriate sexual behavior.

After collaborating in a journalistic investigation about the interpreter, Darras filed the new complaint in Paris last September. The public portal France Info has been in charge of advancing the details that we present below.

The reported events date back to the filming of the film "Disco" (2008), directed by Fabien Onteniente and in which Darras had a supporting role. According to the actress, Depardieu looked at her "as if she were a piece of meat", grabbing her by the waist and touching her hips and buttocks.

Likewise, the interpreter proposed that he go to his dressing room with him, a proposal that Darras rejected. Unfortunately, this did not stop Depardieu from continuing to grope him during the filming of the film.

The actress assures that she decided to remain silent for fear of reprisals, since Depardieu was "the king on the set": "I'm an extra, I haven't finished drama school yet and I want to be an actress. I don't want to be on the blacklist at 26 years old," said Darras in the Complément d'Enquête program.

So far this year, around fifteen women have shared testimonies accusing Depardieu of sexist and sexual behavior in the workplace, although no more complaints had been filed. Faced with the accusations, the accused's lawyers have denied "any criminal conduct."
