The entertainment world once again dresses in mourning this Thursday for the death of the singer María Jiménez at the age of 73 in her home in Seville after a rapid deterioration in her health. A large number of well-known faces have said goodbye to the artist through social networks while others have approached the burning chapel that has been installed in the Apeadero hall of the Sevillian City Hall.

While waiting for the arrival of more friends and colleagues this afternoon to her burning chapel, social networks have been devoted to the farewell of the singer of Se Termina. Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, a personal friend of the artist, has visited her funeral chapel and dedicated some heartfelt words to her on her Instagram along with a photograph of one of her last meetings. "Indomitable spirit, unique and unrepeatable and an overwhelming race and personality," the daughter of the Duchess of Alba has described her.

"Immortal is your art, and it stays here, keeping your memory alive," shared presenter Toñi Moreno, to whom Jiménez was also very close. "I thought you were immortal because you always survived all your scares," she added in her publication, alluding to the artist's vitality, overcoming several health bumps in recent years.

Marisa Jara has shared a fleeting message on her social networks and has also attended the burning chapel installed in the Sevillian City Hall. "You are not gone because you are in our hearts," she wrote on her Instagram.

Among the family members who attended the artist's farewell are her sister, Isabel Jiménez, and her son, Alejandro Sancho. Both have laid vigil for the mortal remains of María Jiménez in the Apeadero hall of the Seville town hall, the city where the artist lived.

"Indomitable and overwhelming, a woman who never remained silent and who gave voice to many silenced screams," Yolanda Díaz flattered the figure of the deceased in X (Twitter). For her part, the President of the Government, Perdo Sánchez, has also dedicated a few words to her on the same social network. "The work of María Jiménez is part of our collective history", he has valued.

A manila shawl has been placed on María Jiménez's coffin, as was her wish, which was owned by the artist's mother. Along with it is also the peacock feather headdress that marked an epoch in her career.
