Estrella Morente has announced the cancellation of her performance scheduled for this Saturday, March 16 in Granada, where she was going to participate in a charity concert organized in favor of the Granada Multiple Sclerosis Association.
Thus, the flamenco artist had to be admitted urgently and operated on on her gallbladder, after suffering "severe pain" that had been afflicting her for days, which forced her to postpone her musical commitment.
From the hospital bed, Morente has shared a very personal note on his social networks, in which he explained the situation he is going through: "Last night I felt bad, I had emergency gallbladder surgery. Thank God everything went very well. despite the scare."
In his statement, Morente has also extended his apologies to the attendees for the inconvenience caused, while thanking the "loyalty" of his audience: "It is a dream to have the theater sold in my land for a charitable cause. My apologies. and thanks".
Likewise, he took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the medical team and healthcare staff at the San Francisco de Asís hospital for their care and attention during this unforeseen health event.
Despite this setback, the artist has shown her commitment to her profession and charitable causes, which is why she has asked the event organizers for a new date for her concert. This new musical event has already been announced for May 11, 2024 on the same Granada stage, which will allow her followers to have a new opportunity to enjoy her talent live from her.
For its part, the concert organization has reacted quickly to offer solutions to attendees affected by the cancellation. In this sense, they have informed that previously purchased tickets will be valid for the new set date. Alternatively, those who prefer to receive a refund will be able to request it through the same method by which they made the initial purchase.
