Dua Lipa caused a sensation on the red carpet at the Met Gala held this past Monday in New York. The singer arrived at the event organized by Anna Wintour wearing an impressive bridal look from Chanel's autumn-winter 1992 collection, thus paying her tribute to Karl Lagerfeld. As a curiosity, this design was worn on the catwalk by Claudia Schiffer, one of the great German muses.
Days after this great gala for the fashion sector, the Levitating interpreter has given one of the great surprises of the season. The British singer has designed her first collection for Versace, which will be released in a few weeks at one of the great film events: the Cannes Film Festival.
"We can't wait to show what we've created!" Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace, creative director of the Italian house, said on Instagram on Thursday. An ad that revolutionized the social network, reaching thousands of likes in a few hours.
It will be on May 23 when this co-designed collection will be presented, which will be entitled "La Vacanza" (The Holidays), a line about which there is hardly any more information and which has all the numbers to become one of the most desired in this season.
Dua Lipa is not the first time working with Versace. A couple of years ago, she already starred in one of the firm's campaigns created by Gianni Versace and, months later, she did not hesitate to debut as a model at Milan Fashion Week.
