The most popular cooking show on television, Masterchef, premiered the eighth edition of its celebrity version a few weeks ago. Fifteen new famous faces of today embarked on the adventure of the kitchen with the aim of achieving the coveted title of 'Masterchef Celebrity Spain'.
Culinary talent was one of the big bets of Spanish Television each of this new season, so, unlike the previous edition, the audiovisual group decided to change its broadcast day to Thursday and thus face the big bet of Telecinco , Big Brother. For the moment, the battle is being won by the culinary space, which Thursday after Thursday consolidates itself as the most watched program in prime time.
This past Thursday a new Masterchef program was broadcast, where viewers were able to find out the identity of the new expelled person. Tanía Llasera was the person who had to say goodbye to her time on the program, after competing in the elimination test, where the cooking caused her some problems. The presenter thus joins names such as Genoveva Casanova, César Cadaval, Sandra Gago, Palito Dominguín and Miguel Diosdado, who left the kitchens weeks before her.
The presenter became the main protagonist of the night, but not only her expulsion was the subject of debate on social networks. Minutes before the dreaded elimination test, Tania Llasera was the target of a multitude of criticisms, due to a comment she made in the middle of the outdoor test.
While the judges were explaining how the test was going to take place, a familiar face from the program appeared in front of the contestants. Saúl Craviotto, two-time Olympic champion and national police agent, was the winner of the second edition of Masterchef Celebrity. The athlete was in charge of preparing the dishes that the contestants in two groups had to replicate.
At one point, the presenter said the following words: ''Craviotto is another level. Clean, educated boy, one of those that you would introduce to your mother and at the same time you want her to fuck you. He is married, so am I, nothing happens, you can say, because hunger is caught on the street, then you eat at home,' the presenter said without any shame. But her words have caused a stir on social networks and hundreds of users have wanted to show her rejection of these statements, calling the comments disrespectful and an attempt to objectify the athlete.
One day after the broadcast, the presenter wanted to come forward and apologize to Saúl Craviotto for his comments through his social networks. ''I take back my words. I learn every day about myself, and it is not difficult for me to ask FORGIVENESS like this in capital letters to @saul_craviotto and his family. If you have felt uncomfortable or upset by my words on yesterday's program, I am very sorry. I guess it was meant to be funny (in the key of TV and humor) and I wasn't funny at all. They were just words, but ugly and out of place. We all make mistakes, but it is fair, if you realize, and have the opportunity, to retract it,' she declared.
