Cristina Pedroche once again denies the rumors about her salary from the Campanadas: "They are part of my monthly salary"

Like every year, the Chimes is one of the television events par excellence. Each television network tries to surpass its competitors and grab the last viewers before the change of cycle, whether with locations, presenters or technical innovations. In the case of Antena 3, the clothing of its recurring presenter is all they need as a teaser: What will Cristina Pedroche's dress be this year?

That is the question that millions of viewers ask themselves every December 31, at the same time that the Madrid native reveals an innovative design, which in 2023 was created in collaboration with Greenpeace. However, another recurring aspect with each visit to Puerta del Sol is your salary. Every year, critics target Pedroche for not revealing the amount he receives from this event. A doubt that he had to resolve in an interview with El Mundo.

“It doesn't matter how many times I explain that I have a network contract with Atresmedia and that all my jobs (including the Campanadas) fall within my monthly salary, the people who want to criticize are going to do it anyway,” he explained. The reason for his response is due to a news article published by La Razón, indicating that Pedroche had received 60,000 euros for Alberto Chicote's 30,000 euros in the last Campanadas. Some figures that circulated on social networks throughout the year.

In the same way, these days will be quiet for the Atresmedia group communicator. As he explained in the same interview, Pedroche is absent and disconnects after the Chimes to isolate himself from the reactions: “I try not to read anything and not let people tell me what is said about me. If in other years I have protected myself by taking vacations or disappearing for a few days, this year if necessary I will do it more. The important thing is that I will have it at home those days. I do not need more".

Some reactions that also occurred with her dress, after several accusations of plagiarism. Josie, her designer, had to step up to the plate. “No, it has nothing to do with it, it is not the same material, we wanted to do what we wanted. It is an event that is fantasy, catharsis... People throw a tomato or a carnation, it's like that. You use a series of codes that are used. Before Pedroche all the fish were sold and now everyone copies what we have done,” she said.

The outfit in question is made up of three pieces: cape, dress and shoes. The cape, created from recycled wool, incorporates hydroponic cultivation that allows plants to take root in the fabric, displaying a blanket of red amaranth and nasturtiums. In parallel, the dress is made with an organic and biodegradable fabric made of gelatin, agar, glycerin and water. Molded with heat, it transforms into a dress of green tones with transparencies, transmitting the need to protect the water.
