Chaos at Luis Miguel's last concert: rain, 40 minutes of singing and 'espantá' without saying goodbye

Luis Miguel can boast of being not only one of the most important artists in the music industry, but also one of the most loved internationally. The one nicknamed "El Sol de México" has been conquering with his songs for more than 30 years, and there are many who go out of their way to see him perform his well-known songs live.

That is why the disappointment of his fans in Córdoba, Argentina, was more than capital. Last Thursday, the artist offered a massive concert at the Instituto stadium, but this time, instead of his followers chanting his name, everyone left with a very bad taste in their mouths.

It had been more than five years since the singer had been seen in the Argentine capital, and many of his fans were looking forward to seeing him. The concert had all the potential to be a real success, but one cannot control the inclement weather: a strong storm wanted to put an end to the artist's plans.

However, it didn't stop him from wanting it, because even with water up to his neck, Luis Miguel came out on stage, with an assistant carrying an umbrella included. Of course, not for long because the 53-year-old singer was barely on stage for 40 minutes due to the technical impossibility of continuing due to the persistent rain - of course, he sang mythical songs like Sera que no me amas or Amor, amor, love - and he ran away without saying goodbye to his followers.

A fact that greatly angered his fans, who did not stop complaining about it shouting "scam, scam", with no response. His 13 musicians timidly waved goodbye to an outraged audience that couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Some protests by some 20,000 fans who, having paid between 80 and 130 euros per ticket, moved outside the venue and into the streets of the city.

Those responsible for the artist's tour issued a statement after what happened, "blaming" the storm and justifying the cancellation of the concert "in order to protect the safety of fans, musicians and staff in the face of an electrical risk."

Spanish fans of "El Sol de México" hope that the same thing will not happen at their next concert. For them there is good news, because the concert that Luis Miguel will offer on July 7 at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium and which had already posted the "sold out capacity" sign will reopen the box office briefly with a new batch of tickets between the 22nd and March 25.

To obtain them, it will be necessary to be a client of Banco Santander and access through the Santander SMusic platform, as announced this Monday in a statement.

It will be one of the most anticipated dates of Luis Miguel's new tour of Spain, which will include 15 concerts in 12 cities: Córdoba (June 28), Seville (June 30), Pamplona (July 3), Madrid (July 6-7) , Murcia (July 10), Roquetas de Mar, Almería (July 13), Barcelona (July 17-18), A Coruña (July 21), Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz (July 24), València (July 27) and Marbella (July 31, August 2-3).
