Carlotta Dessì, Mediaset reporter, dies at 35

The world of journalism is in mourning with the death of Carlotta Dessì, a very recurring and popular face on Italian television. The reporter died at the age of 35, after not being able to overcome a serious illness that she was diagnosed with last summer, as revealed by Tgcom24.

"The management and the entire editorial team of Tgcom24 join the Dessì family with deep pain," the media outlet expressed in its statement. The communicator became known as a result of her participation in Mediaset programs such as Pomeriggio 5 or Fuori dal Coro.

The event took place suddenly last Tuesday. And although the exact causes of death are not known, everything indicates that his illness would have had something to do with it. And it was last December when the journalist appeared for the last time on television, with Mario Giordano on Rete4.

Recently discharged from the hospital, Dessì decided to go through the program in a wheelchair. "We must fight, we must not give up. One thing is certain: I am not alone. I have not been alone since the first day I discovered my illness, four months ago, in a very hot Milanese summer," she said.

Among other things, he stated that he was receiving full support from his family. Something that made him want to move forward. "Since that day my life has changed. It has changed for me, for my family, for my partner," she said. Such were Carlotta's strength to move forward, that she called this return to the small screen "the day of restart."

After hearing the news, her Instagram account has been filled with farewell messages to the journalist. "I send you love wherever you are. A big hug to your family," commented one of her colleagues. "I will never forget your smile, your grace and your energy," added another user.

And all these messages have been given in his last publication, shared just a few weeks ago. The reporter wanted to show a painting that she was given by a person she "loved," named Simonetta. "I am not afraid," the piece reads, along with some red flowers. "And in these words I understood that there is all the meaning of my life," she said in the description of the post.

"Ah, life. When you look for it, when you touch suffering and illness with your hand. I even feel selfish. Fear makes you tremble and the mind travels. But don't be afraid, Carlotta," the last text of the reporter on her social networks.
