Belén Esteban, the new 'Netflix girl', and Kiko Matamoros talk about the end of 'Sálvame' in 'La Resistencia: "They kicked us out of Telecinco"

Belén Esteban and Kiko Matamoros, two of the most prominent protagonists of the recent docu-reality 'Sálvese who can!', have made a promotional stop at 'La Resistencia', the famous program presented by David Broncano on Movistar Plus. The visit, which took place this past night, Monday, November 13, attracted the attention of followers eager to learn more about their experiences in Miami and Mexico.

The overwhelming success of his new program, which still leads the list of the 10 most popular series in Spain, has sparked great interest.

“You have brought two of us who love each other very much, but we took each other to kill,” Belén Esteban said in greeting, referring to Kiko Matamoros; Matamoros, for his part, entered the set playing the bass drum for 'La Resistencia'. Belén began the interview with a little rant to David Broncano: “The last time I was here, I got in a wheelchair and after 6 months I broke my leg. “You gave me bad luck,” said the television collaborator who was quick to remember that “Every man for himself!” It is number 1 on Netflix.

Kiko Matamoros told an anecdote that appears in the docu-reality about Víctor Sandoval's house in Miami. According to what they both said, with constant contradictions, the house was shabby and several deaths had occurred there; among them, the death of the last owner two days before recording. “I see you handsome,” Belén Esteban changed the third. “You are slimmer and more attractive,” he added. Esteban boasted that he was 50 years old and the audience jumped out to congratulate her; Matamoros reported that she turns 67 in December. “I'm not going to retire,” she said because she needed the money. “You live in a mansion and you married the Ritz,” Esteban clarified.

For 14 years working together, Belén Esteban assures that more than 12 and a half have been arguing: “We have killed each other,” she said. “We didn't look each other in the face,” she pointed out. “The last time of ‘Sálvame’ and the Netflix series have made him one of the most important people in my life,” the collaborator confessed. “We have lived a lot together, Netflix has brought us together a lot,” Esteban continued with the promo for the docu-reality. Kiko Matamoros summarized her experience on television: “We have been the replacement for the bearded woman. “Entertaining is a vocation.”

The two have talked about social networks, the hate they receive and how little they care: “The average IQ is 100 points,” Matamoros said with some benevolence.

When bringing up the subject of the farewell of ‘Sálvame’, Kiko Matamoros did not hesitate to acknowledge the reality: “From Telecinco, they kicked us out.” Belén Esteban tried to change the subject, but his partner said: “I respect Telecinco a lot and I respect the network a lot. “They have given me 24 years to eat.” Esteban decided to remain silent: “I am silent, I don't speak. I'm very grateful".

Kiko Matamoros continued giving details: “It appeared in ‘El Mundo’ published. “We found out that they had kicked us out doing the program.” In this case, Belén Esteban pointed out: “Sorry, but they spent two months screwing us.” The television collaborator wanted to rectify: “We have been at Telecinco for many years and we are very grateful, but there are stages that close and now we are happy in another.”

Many people were left out of the original 'Sálvame' program: "We couldn't all go," said Belén Esteban. "We traveled first class and stayed in luxury hotels," said Kiko Matamoros. "It's a great project," he added. About the promotion: "Except for Telecinco, we are going to go everywhere," Belén Esteban concluded with a laugh.
