Antena 3 sets a date for 'The Floor', its new contest presented by Manel Fuentes

This coming Monday, September 4, the new television season begins on all channels in our country. Hence, all of them have already announced their big bets and have set a date for the return of some of their most emblematic programs.

One of the audiovisual groups that continues to bet heavily on its content is Atresmedia. The San Sebastián de los Reyes corporation surprises its viewers once again with the adaptation of an international hit, The Floor. This mysterious contest will arrive on the chain's grid next Wednesday, September 6 at 10:45 p.m.

This new format produced by Mediacrest and presented by Manel Fuentes aims to make the public play from their homes, while they watch the plays of the participants in their spectacular staging. But the big question mark surrounding this contest is: what is The Floor really about?

The mechanics of this new program is very simple. One hundred players will face each other in a battle to gain territory through different question duels, on a gigantic LED floor divided into one hundred equal squares. Each of these parts of the board will represent a category of knowledge.

The objective of the contest is to conquer the entire floor and for this the contestants must challenge their adjacent opponents to quick question duels. The first player to run out of time will lose and have to leave the game. The contestant who wins the duel will conquer his rival's square, thus expanding his territory on the ground. The categories of the board will be of all kinds and all the questions will be accompanied by their respective photographs to help the contestants.

But the peculiarity of the contest is not only in its mechanics, but also in its duration. And it is that The Floor will have continuity, that is, each week several players will be eliminated. As the deliveries go by, fewer players will remain standing on the board and in the final we will be able to discover the contestant who will be able to conquer the hundred squares on the ground and win the 100,000 euro prize.

In this way, The Floor will occupy Wednesday nights, after Antena 3 broadcast the last chapter of Violeta como el mar, the Italian series starring Can Yaman on August 30. But the Manel Fuentes contest will have a great competitor that night, El Puente de las Mentiras, the contest with famous faces from Televisión Española presented by Paula Vázquez.
