The countdown to the Spanish cinema festival begins. The 38th edition of the Goya Awards will be held next Wednesday, February 10 at the Valladolid Fair. A gala that will be presented by three luxury figures: the singer Ana Belén and the filmmakers Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.

For the second consecutive year, Gestmusic (Banijay Iberia) takes over the production of the gala, an event that will be directed by Tinet Rubira and Ángel Custodio. In addition, it is already known that it will feature musical performances by leading artists in Spanish music, among whom you can hear Amaia, David Bisbal, Estopa, María José Llergó, India Martínez, Niña Pastori, Sílvia Pérez Cruz and the Portuguese Salvador Sobral.

The Film Academy has confirmed the names of the artists who will take the stage during the gala. Among all of them, Amaia stands out, who repeats in these awards after conquering the public with Canción de Marisol, in 2020. The Navarrese also takes the stage after making her successful debut as an actress in La Mesías, by Los Javis.

Another with connections to the ceremony is María José Llergó, who already won the Goya for Best Original Song for Teespera el mar for Mediterráneo. The singer links tradition and the avant-garde in the art of flamenco, making her one of the most celebrated artists on the national music scene.

He is one of the biggest names in current Spanish music, but he had never performed at the Goya before. 2024 will serve as David Bisbal's premiere at the famous gala, where he will demonstrate why he has received numerous awards in his 20-year career, with no less than eight albums behind him.

Likewise, Silvia Pérez Cruz has participated in musical, theatrical and cinematographic projects that have earned her the National Prize for Current Music and two Goya Awards, among other recognitions.

In Spain, Salvador Sobral, the Portuguese singer-songwriter who gave his country victory in Eurovision for the first time, discovered his musical identity. Since then, more concerts, more followers and more awards have come for this Portuguese who has put 'timbre' to the title of his fourth studio album.
