Ainhoa Cantalapiedra corrects the Rubiales case: ''La cagué''

Last Sunday, August 20, the players of the Spanish women's soccer team made history by winning the World Cup final and proclaiming themselves world champions in Sydney, Australia.

The soccer player Olga Carmona scored the goal that was finally enough to obtain the title and achieve a feat within the reach of few, especially taking into account the minimal visibility that women's sports have in our country and the lack of resources that the players have been denouncing a long time. Although the entire country has turned to its celebration, the kiss that Luis Rubiales stole from the player Jennifer Hermoso during the celebration of the result has caused great controversy in Spain.

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation initially responded to the criticism by saying that it was "bullshit" and that we had to focus on celebrating the victory and leave behind that nonsense. However, the situation has been getting bigger and bigger and an endless number of public figures have shown their support for Hermoso on social networks.

Alexia Putellas's partner acknowledged in an Instagram live that she had not liked the coach's gesture at all, but later she wanted to take the matter down publicly. Days later, it was published that Rubiales had asked Hermoso to give a statement together with him to clarify the situation, but the athlete refused and made her displeasure clear by asking that "disciplinary measures" be taken.

One of the people who has given the most talk in recent hours has been Ainhoa Cantalapiedra, the winner of the second edition of the musical reality show Operación Triunfo. The singer explained at an event in Madrid that her kiss did not seem so bad to her and that she did not see it as a compelling reason to request Rubiales' resignation.

After endless criticism and accusations about her on social networks, the artist wanted to explain herself and connected live this morning with the Antena 3 Espejo Público program.

The artist has appeared in the Atresmedia space asking for forgiveness and acknowledging that she had been wrong: "I am a feminist, and I am in my songs, in my life and in my actions. And I was wrong. I always say that I should not talk about what I don't know and I screwed up. I talked about something I didn't know about by not telling the reporter that I hadn't seen it."

"When the reporter asked me about a kiss, I already thought about love and said: 'what's wrong with a kiss?' Because I am a very happy flower," the author explained to the workers of the orange chain.

The former Survivors contestant wanted to make it clear after seeing the video of the kiss that for her there is no place for such a gesture and that she totally condemns the action of the president of the Federation: "There is no place for that kiss. There is nothing to justify this abuse of power".
