Sad day for lovers of cinema and audiovisual production. Actress Lynne Marta has died at the age of 78. As her friend and life partner Chris Saint-Hilaire explained to the American media The Hollywood Reporter, the artist died on January 11 after a long and hard fight against cancer.

One of the interpreter's best-known roles (for which most fans and users on the Internet remember her) was that of Lulu Warnicker, aunt of Ren (Kevin Bacon) in the 1984 film Footloose.

The woman, descendant of a modest New Jersey family, was born on October 30, 1945 in Somerville. Her father was dedicated to controlling air and water pollution in her city.
