A single woman from 'First Dates', about to ruin her date with a curious joke: ''You think that at this point...'''

The most romantic restaurant on the small screen, First Dates, closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners willing to find a person with whom they could share tastes and hobbies. However, many of them end up finding someone completely opposite.

Something that Montse and Xavi experienced firsthand. The 58-year-old single Catalan woman without children arrived at the restaurant claiming to be a joking person. ''My friends tell me that they don't know when I'm serious and when I'm joking,'' she said. Despite having had the odd partner, she had never lived with anyone. ''She had my parents who were older and I had to take care of them. "I didn't go out or anything," she admitted.

She was a great fan of travel, but after suffering from lymphatic cancer, she stopped traveling the world. ''She wanted to always be next to the Hospital del Mar (Barcelona)'' she said. She was looking to find a travel companion, but without ties. Her date was going to be Xavi, a 65-year-old Catalan, who considered himself a very active person and who confessed to being fond of dancing and partying.

The first impression among the singles was quite good. ''I liked it, I didn't dislike it,'' she commented. ''Physically I liked it,'' the bachelor stressed. And although it seemed that they were not going to have a conversation problem, Montse decided to break the ice with a curious joke. ''What are you looking for,'' he asked her. ''I'm looking for a father because now I want to be a mother,'' she declared before Xavi's attentive gaze. ''That's very complicated,'' he replied. ''You think that at this point I have to be a mother. We are no longer old,'' she confessed. ''Everything can be'', commented Xavi.

After this striking moment, Carlos Sobera accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their previous relationships. Xavi said that he went dancing with his last partner every Sunday. ''I would go some Sunday, but every Sunday...'' the single woman stated. In addition, the Catalan shocked the single woman by confessing that only six months had passed since her last breakup. ''You are not cured, it is only a short time,'' she stated. ''When I say up to here, it's up to here,'' explained the bachelor.

As the date continued, the singles began to realize that they had many more differences than similarities. And Xavi was a man who liked to go out at night. A practice that Montse had stopped doing. ''The night is for sleeping,'' she said. ''I like it, I feel younger at night,'' commented the Catalan, who also confessed that cinema was not to his liking. ''You wouldn't catch him dead at home,'' the Catalan assured.

In the final stretch of the evening, the singles moved to the program's booth, where they were going to confirm that theirs was destined to fail. ''I see him very different from my personality,'' she said. Therefore, in the final decision there were no surprises and both left the restaurant separately.
