The most romantic restaurant on television closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of singles, who decided to show up to First Dates in the hope of finding love. But viewers of the Cuatro format are more than used to the fact that anything can happen between those four walls.
One of the dates of the night was the one starring Carla and Carlos. The 29-year-old single from Madrid assured as soon as she arrived that she was a great follower of the program. ''My mother plays it for me every night,'' she declared. Furthermore, seeing every night how some diners did find love sparked her curiosity. In relationships, she hadn't had much luck, but now she was determined to look for a loving, fun, and not at all clingy man.
Her date was going to be Carlos, a 33-year-old telemetry technician from Madrid, who considered himself a ''charming'' person. ''If you look up the word in the dictionary, my face appears next to it,'' he confessed. The first impression among the singles was normal. ''She is very pretty, she has big eyes,'' the bachelor commented. After learning about their places of residence and his professions, the presenter accompanied the couple to his table, where the evening began.
Once there, Carlos confessed that his greatest hobbies were mountaineering, soccer and video games. But the excessive enthusiasm that the man from Madrid showed for video games put the single woman back, who quickly threw a dart at him. ''You are one of those who is tainted at home. People who like consoles are very homely,'' she said. ''Not me, my brother is,'' the bachelor responded. Moments later, the singles opened up about their previous relationships. Carla claimed that her longest relationship had been 5 years. For his part, Carlos said that their relationship had lasted two years at most. ''My first partner was ten years older than me and had two children,'' the bachelor revealed, leaving Carla speechless. ''Oysters...that's the difference,'' the single woman replied.
But when Carla asked how she had met that woman, she got the biggest surprise. The bachelor said that she was the mother of one of the children he taught soccer classes to. ''My mother, how strong,'' said the single woman. ''The tracksuit had to fit me well,'' the bachelor joked. ''He has conquered the mother of a student with the tracksuit, not so bad,'' she commented, laughing.
In the final stretch of the evening, Carla was beginning to realize that her thing with the bachelor was not going to go anywhere. Therefore, in the final decision she did not hesitate and she rejected the bachelor because she "had not seen chemistry between them."
