Why everyone wants a camper this summer

We have been traveling only inside our heads for a few months now, but with summer just around the corner, many are already beginning to put into practice part of what they have dreamed of to date. It is true that the context of uncertainty derived from Covid-19 means that many traditional destinations in the summer months are not yet an option. However, now we are more aware that there is a world to discover just a few kilometers away and without having to take a plane to get there.

In fact, within Spanish territory and by car is, right now, the favorite combination for all those who are already finalizing the details of their days off. This is stated in the report The new mobility of Spaniards prepared by Avis. Specifically, the document states that nine out of ten Spaniards surveyed prefer not to go abroad in 2021. In addition, 86% see the car as the safest travel option to avoid risks and infections.

But the key change is that this vehicle is not only the preferred option to travel, but also to function as accommodation. This is where 'the camper' comes into play. They have been traveling the roads for decades and, however, it is now that they are experiencing their peak moment. And, to the freedom of traveling without schedules or constraints, as is the case with other two- or four-wheeled vehicles, we must add the infinite possibilities they offer to their occupants in the current context. Therefore, if you are organizing your trip, we give you some reasons to encourage you to go on a road trip in a camper van.

Many of those who choose this type of tourism do so, in part, driven by an interest in reducing their carbon footprint and helping offset the effects of humans on the environment. It makes sense, in the end, the chosen destinations are surrounded by nature and to enjoy it to the fullest, it is necessary to protect it.

Contrary to what society may believe, traveling by camper in a sustainable way are not incompatible concepts. In fact, they go more and more hand in hand thanks to proposals that we currently find on the market such as the Nissan E-NV200 Winter camper that make it possible. In this case, it is a model 100% aligned with the philosophy of zero-emission vehicles that the Japanese firm has been pursuing for years.

Those who opt for the Winter Camper will be betting on a van with an 80 kW (107 HP) electric motor that is powered by the energy stored in a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery. With all this, it approves an electric autonomy of up to 200 kilometers. In addition, its sunroof includes a solar panel that not only provides more light to the interior, but also supplies renewable energy.

Can you imagine not depending on the check-in time at a hotel? Can you imagine being able to wake up every day with different views? Can you imagine not having to get up early to have breakfast? All that self-sufficiency and independence that you are looking for is given to you by a camper. Because if these vehicles are well equipped it means that you will not miss anything you need for your daily life on vacation. The campers have a bed, kitchen, bathroom with shower inside and plenty of space for utensils and other objects that you decide to accompany you on your vacation. There is obviously space for all family members, animals included.

For example, the Nissan E-NV200 Winter Camper was developed taking the conventional electric e-NV 200 as a reference, but introducing some changes to the interior that have turned it into an authentic home reduced to a minimum. In it we identify the same rooms. A small integrated kitchen that does not lack detail and has everything from a refrigerator and sink to water and gas installations. Next to it, a living-dining room with capacity for a total of 4 people.

That same space is what, when night falls, adapts and gives rise to a bed with a high-density foam mattress for two people. The most notable details of that improvised bedroom are the window blinds that allow daylight not to sneak into the room and interrupt sleep. On an aesthetic level, the use of wood in its interior gives it a Nordic-style design.

On the outside, it is easy to distinguish the rear cargo rack designed so that travelers can transport everything they need to make their road trip unforgettable. From boards and skis for the coldest months and destinations, to surfboards or bicycles for summer plans.

Regardless of the type of vehicle, traveling by road involves complying with a series of basic recommendations such as checking the car before embarking on our adventure, avoiding heavy meals during driving hours, stopping every 2 or 3 hours to rest and stretch our legs. and respect traffic rules.

If we add to this that this type of vehicle has its own characteristics to facilitate driving, we obtain a road trip that can be safe.

In the case of the Nissan White Camper, these elements are, on the one hand, the set of off-road tires that have been designed with a clear objective in mind: to make this camper a versatile and versatile vehicle that is capable of going through any terrain that the driver encounters along the way, even if a priori it may seem impractical. At the same time, the van has greater ground clearance, which allows it to move more fluidly and confidently on the asphalt.

On the other hand, the long-range headlights are LED and are located in a new front defense in the bumper that has been reinforced to guarantee greater safety and confidence for the driver and the rest of the members of the camper.

In short, if this summer you are looking forward to enjoying a different getaway as a couple, with friends or surrounded by family, this way of traveling on wheels promises a great adventure.
